Leader

I'm a DVM candidate at UC Davis Weill School of Veterinary Medicine, where I'm tracking small animal medicine with a long-term goal of pursuing a rotating internship and ultimately specializing to advance my clinical expertise.

Beyond the clinic, I care deeply about leadership, community service, and expanding access to veterinary care. I'm intentionally building my knowledge of practice management and business operations, because I hope to one day lead a practice grounded in both clinical excellence and strong operational foundations.

I hold a B.S. in Molecular Environmental Biology from UC Berkeley, with a Minor in Education, and I bring that interdisciplinary foundation into everything I do.

Myo-inositol is a key regulator of avian metabolism: From mechanisms to seasonal behavior
Birds maintain plasma glucose levels twice as high as mammals of similar size, being naturally hyperglycemic and insulin insensitive. Using an integrative approach, this research identifies a fundamental role of myo-inositol (MI) in avian metabolism, demonstrating that MI transporters are highly conserved across birds and that dietary MI reduces fat accumulation in Anna's hummingbirds. The findings offer insights into avian evolutionary adaptations in the context of insulin insensitivity.
